Bakers Delight to open 12 bakeries in Western Australia

Confirms new retail sites.

Bakers Delight has announced it will be opening 12 new bakeries in Western Australia (WA). Locations are situated across the metro, southwest, northwest and Goldfields regions, and will create 12 business ownership opportunities, with an estimated knock-on of 200 additional jobs.

Tha chain is now on the look out for prospective franchisees from across different industries in WA. Mentioned in their announcement was that more than 85% of new franchisee applicants in WA over the past 12 months have come from industries other than baking, which includes mining, finance and retail.

Bakers Delight CEO Roger Gillespie believes the opportunity for growth in WA is clear, “Our sales growth in WA is the strongest in the network. We want to delight more customers by opening more bakeries in a number of new locations across Perth and selected country areas”.

“We know our customers are looking for fresher, better quality bread and we’ve seen the growth of our health range in particular increase to almost 25% of all bread sold in our WA bakeries.

“We’re now looking for candidates in WA who are interested in owning and building their own successful business but may not have the confidence or resources to go about it on their own right now. Being part of a network like Bakers Delight, offers the opportunity for business ownership but with the added bonus of having a safe, supportive and growing network behind you.”
