Eagle Boys to open more Express stores this year
Brand Manager of Eagle Boys Robin Heslehurst shares new plans and more news about its new Cairns location to QSR Media.
QSR Media: Will you be opening more Eagle Boys Express stores this year, how many do you estimate?
Robin Heslehurst: Yes, we are planning to open another 12 Eagle Boys Express stores. In addition, we are currently in negotiation with a number of large corporate groups, which could see this number double.
QSR Media: Are you considering any other airports aside from Cairns?
Heslehurst: The Eagle Boys Express system does extremely well within airports and we currently have stores at Perth International Airport, Sydney International Airport, Brisbane Domestic Airport and Townsville Airport and we are looking forward to pursuing new locations.
QSR Media: Is there anything unique about the store in Cairns, compared to other Eagle Boys Express stores?
Heslehurst: The Eagle Boys Express system at Cairns Airport features Eagle Boys Express' refreshed branding. Positioned next to another new outlet, The Bar, customers can enjoy an Eagle Boys Express meal with an alcoholic beverage.
QSR Media: Would you consider this EB format a success and being embraced by EB consumers? What do you think makes it attractive?
Heslehurst: The Eagle Boys Express system is an extremely successful model and our franchisees are constantly achieving highly favourable results. The beauty of the Eagle Boys Express system is it can be incorporated into businesses using existing equipment, with staff and business owners receiving optimum training.
For consumers, it is a convenient option and they recognise the Eagle Boys brand as a 27-year-old national company that provides food of high value and quality. Customers enjoy the speed of service while taking comfort in the familiarity and trust for the brand and product offer as they transit through unfamiliar environments, such as airports.
