7-Eleven widens parcel service with Australia Post partnership
The 24/7 service is initially implemented across more than 200 7-Eleven stores.
7-Eleven announced a partnership with Australia Post, offering access to free all-hours parcel lockers at hundreds of stores across the country.
The 24/7 service is implemented across more than 200 7-Eleven stores where 7-Eleven's ParcelMate lockers are already installed, with another 300 to be added for Australia Post deliveries by the end of 2021.
This is in addition to more than 500 existing Australia Post parcel locker locations in the network, which in effect will double the number of parcel lockers that the postal service’s customers can use.
Parcel volumes grew in the 12 months to July 2021, with Australia Post’s latest Inside Australian Online Shopping eCommerce report revealing online shopping grew almost 32% over the 2020-21 financial year.
7-Eleven Australia general manager for product Matt Keogh said that providing consumers with choice and convenience continues to be a focus.
“Being able to offer Australia Post customers the choice to collect their parcels in one of our stores, when and where it suits them, is convenience we are proud to partner with Australia Post to provide,” he said.
Customers can sign up via Australia Post and choose their preferred 7-Eleven parcel locker location for their delivery.
