Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group shuts down select venues
The company said new directives related to social distancing and restaurant operations made trading “unworkable”.
Seagrass Boutique Hospitality Group has decided to shut down select venues due to the impact of COVID-19.
It closed all Australian and international venues of The Meat and Wine Co., 6Head in The Rocks and The Butcher and the Farmer in London to protect Australian and UK communities.
The decision was made following government directives related to social distancing and restaurant operations that made trading “unworkable.”
“We also want to protect our employees, guests, and suppliers during the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m deeply saddened by the impact on all employees, many of whom have been part of the Seagrass family for many years,” group CEO Bradley Michael said in a statement.
All Ribs & Burgers nationwide except Perth and Italian Street Kitchen is still trading for delivery and takeaway-only, pending further direction from government.
Seagrass has also established a Employee Help Desk geared to guide and assist all employees. They have also readied premium meat packs and are working on a range of ‘ready-to-eat’ meals for their employees.
