Eagle Boys holds fundraiser for fire service
Driven and devised by the local South Australian pizza store owners.
Eagle Boys held a fundraiser for the South Australian Country Fire Service the last two Saturdays. Last Dec. 6 and 13, the pizza chain donated one dollar for every pizza sold in selected stores in the state.
The effort, according to the brand, is to raise awareness, as well as donate much needed funds for the Country Fire Service, as they move into the bush fire season.
The funds will be donated as part of Eagle Boys’ charitable initiative – The Happiness Fund. The Eagle Boys Happiness Fund is a ‘helping hand’ program designed to assist any person or group within Eagle Boys store communities who need assistance.
Eagle Boys General Manager of Retail and Adelaide-born and raised, Nick Vincent said it is so important for local businesses to be proactive in helping out local causes such as this.
“The Country Fire Service is a volunteer organisation, hitting the front line when the whole state is in need. They could be saving our kids, our homes and our businesses one day; so all local traders should be doing what they can to support the brave volunteers risking their lives to save others.
“Our Eagle Boys stores in South Australia are very much a part of their local and regional areas and these are often the regions affected by bush fires, so it is fitting that we do something as a collective group to help raise funds. I would urge South Australians to hold out for their weekly fix of pizza until Saturday, when buying a pizza can directly help in the fundraising efforts for the CFS,” Vincent said.
