Bay City Burrito launches annual 'Burritos N Blankets' program for homeless Australians
Bay City Burrito is celebrating its 8th year in business by giving back to the community.
To commemorate the milestone, the brand announced its Burritos N Blankets program to help the growing number of homeless citizens in Melbourne, Victoria.
Claire Milne, Bay City Burritos Marketing Manager, said, “Arguably we were the first to introduce Melbourne to the burrito as healthy comfort food and at the same time start the wave of fresh Mexican restaurants in Melbourne”.
“In addition to maintaining S.F. Mex authenticity, we want to change the world one burrito at a time” said Milne.
Last winter BCB staff started a campaign to collect blankets from customers and roam the streets to hand them out with a fresh burrito to homeless individuals.
