The Cheesecake Shop plans solar panel rollout
The chain has already installed a 99KW solar panel system at their Sydney warehouse and office.
The Cheesecake Shop is under negotiation with landlords at lease renewal to permit solar panel installation.
Managing director Ken Rosebery said in a LinkedIn post that he expects 70% of their 225-plus stores to be suitable for the installation.
“This will ultimately save money for franchisees over the term of their lease, as our store's electricity demand peaks during daylight hours. It is also a constructive initiative for reducing our carbon footprint,” The Cheesecake Shop managing director Ken Rosebery said in an announcement.
Rosebery added that they have already installed a 99KW solar panel system at their Sydney warehouse and office.
