The macroeconomic outlook remains soft in Australia, and the foodservice industry was similarly slow in the fourth quarter. Spend increased, but this was due exclusively to average cheque. Growth in visits stalled for the first time since September 2013, a result not entirely surprising given the low growth the industry experienced throughout the year.
