Nearly 80% of consumers continue to eat out: NPD
About 1 in 10 said they are still wary about COVID-19.
Almost 8 in 10 or 78% of Australian consumers said they will still eat in restaurants whilst 12% said they are still wary when eating out because of COVID-19, research group, NPD, said.
According to the Australia Consumer Sentiment Study in the first quarter of 2022, the majority of consumers eased out for dining in options.
However, health issues are still a concern, making delivery options still a popular choice.
In its data, NPD said 57% of Australians use food delivery services at least once a week whilst 61% of consumers are most likely to use delivery services for dinner.
