KFC giving away free food, cash prizes via new mobile game
“The Great Bucket Hunt” can be accessed through the chain’s app.
KFC announced the launch of a new mobile adventure game, offering players the chance to win free food, cash, merchandise, and sports experiences.
Dubbed ‘The Great Bucket Hunt’, the game will be available to play from 15 June where virtual buckets will be placed in hidden locations around Australia. It is accessible within the chain’s app, and players are told to use a ‘bucket map’ to find such buckets and spin them using augmented reality to see the prize.
For food prizes, customers only have 72 hours to redeem by ordering through the app. There is also a limit of one food prize per day that can be claimed.
If a player finds three ‘golden buckets’, the restaurant chain will be giving away $5,000 - with one player set to win $50,000. Other prizes include NRL Grand Final tickets, AFL Grand Final tickets, Ashes Tickets, and free KFC for a year.
“We know our fans go crazy for our food, and so our prizes are made up of delicious Kentucky Fried Chicken, KFC bucket list experiences, as well as a number of cash prizes, with everyone walking away a winner,” KFC Australia CMO Kristi Woolrych said.
“We hope our fans make the most of “The Great Bucket Hunt” by venturing out and finding the hidden buckets.”
‘The Great Bucket Hunt’ will be available Android or iOS via the KFC App from 15 June until 12 July across Australia.
