An Australian start-up is now serving up ice cream in Melbourne using a team of robots.
Niska, positioning itself as the country's first robotic retail store, offers artisan ice-cream with a variety of flavours and toppings, all served by a team of robot staffers named Pepper, Eka and Tony. Customers can choose among 16 flavours via touch screen display.
The robots are capable of direct interaction with visitors, for example, even able to selfies with Pepper, the social humanoid robot.
According to its website, Niska also provides turnkey digital and robotics solutions that address retail business profitably and consumer engagement via the application of innovative technologies.
Niska's robotic ice cream store is located at Tenancy 20, Crossbar Building Federation Square, Melbourne.
