Grill'd launches 'Williams' burger concept in Sydney

Up to 15 restaurants will open around the country over the next three years.

Grill’d Group founder and managing director Simon Crowe has announced the opening of a brand-new burger restaurant in Westfield Sydney.

Dubbed “Williams”, the concept is headed by Grill’d executive Shane Pigdon and boasts a “smart casual, clean-line aesthetic” designed in partnership with architects Design Office and creative agency Moffitt.Moffitt, with an open kitchen and seating for 80 persons.

Whilst backed by the Grill’d Group, the brand says it is an independent business that operates completely separate to Grill’d.

“Shane and I wanted to create a completely new burger concept that isn’t restricted or restrained in any way and is representative of the way Australians are trying to live today,” Crowe said in the announcement.

The menu, developed by Pigdon and Grill’d menu innovation manager Josh Powell, features a range of house-made burgers, salads, sides, sodas and shakes, along with a list of Australian beers, cider and wines.

Another Williams restaurant is scheduled to open in Melbourne’s South Yarra by October 2019, with up to 15 Williams restaurants planned over the next three years.
