The Coffee Club 'paints the town purple' to support Queensland Firebirds
The brand urged Queenslanders to paint the town purple on Monday 18 July to support defending ANZ champions The Coffee Club Queensland Firebirds in their Australian Conference final against New South Wales Swifts.
The Coffee Club General Manager of Marketing Greg Bowell said The Coffee Club stores and staff across the state were right behind the side ahead of the clash at Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
“We’re throwing our weight behind our favourite team via The Coffee Club’s Facebook, Instagram and website and call on all Queenslanders to do the same,” he said.
“To show your support, use the hashtag #PurpleSquad and upload photos of you, your friends and family wearing the colour purple. We wish The Coffee Club Queensland Firebirds all the best for Monday and hope they notch a big win to book a blockbuster home semi-final next weekend.”
Firebirds coach Roselee Jencke said the team could not wait to kick off its finals campaign in front of a parochial home crowd.
“Our fans are our eighth player on court and the prospect of bringing the Australian Conference title home in front of them on Monday is hugely motivating,” she said.
“We hope Firebirds fans young and old get behind The Coffee Club’s #PurpleSquad campaign and show their support by using the hashtag on all of their messages across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. The Coffee Club is our greatest supporter and its encouragement will help spur us on as we embark on our quest for back-to-back ANZ Championship titles.”
The Coffee Club is the Naming Rights Partner of the Queensland Firebirds and the Official Ball Partner of the ANZ Championship.
