CHART OF THE WEEK: Hamburgers - Frequency

According to BIS Shrapnel, on average, across all fast food consumers, 1.3 hamburgers per person were consumed in the last month (research August 2011).

Statistically significant differences occurred in gender with males consuming on average more than females. Also in household income with those representing the $100K-$150K having a significantly higher average compared to the $75K-$100K.

Those living in a shared household have a higher average compared to household with one resident/live alone, a couple without children at home and those 65 plus years without children in the household.

Final significant difference occurred in work status with full time students having a much higher average compared to those retired.

The chart below outlines the average number of hamburgers consumed per person (in a fast food outlet) across the total Fast Food/Snack population in the last month.
