Mad Mex appoints Adam Furner as national development manager
He replaced Phil Blanco.
Mad Mex has announced that Adam Furner has joined the restaurant chain as its new national development manager who will be responsible for design, construction, legal and franchising.
Furner brings experience in local and international retail development, project management and franchise expansion in the restaurant and commercial property sector following previous positions at Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar, Bakers Delight, Colliers International and New Zealand Natural.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Mad Mex Group at this exciting time in its growth and expansion journey and am looking forward to building on the success that the Mad Mex team have created to grow the business throughout the region in the coming years," he said.
The announcement comes after the new partnership between Mad Mex and Singapore-based restaurant group 4Fingers that took place last year. 4Fingers took a 50% stake in the Mad Mex business, which included buying out Mad Mex Director Phil Blanco.
“I’m very proud of the business and brand we have built together as a team across ANZ during my 10 years as Director of Mad Mex. The business has experienced strong growth and has become synonymous with quality and value in the minds of consumers. The 4Fingers partnership provides a firm base for exciting expansion opportunities for the Group in the wider APAC region," Blanco said.
