Deliveroo Australia country manager Levi Aron steps down
He joined the delivery company in 2015.
Deliveroo Australia country manager Levi Aron has stepped down after nearly four years in the role, the company has announced.
Aron joined Deliveroo in August 2015 and launched Deliveroo in the market in November of the same year.
Merten Wulfert, the delivery company’s managing director for APAC and Middle East, will take over the day-to-day management in Australia whilst looking for Aron’s replacement.
Deliveroo Australia also appointed Greg Ellis as senior adviser, where he will play “a key strategic advisory role” in the company’s growth and expansion. Ellis was CEO of REA from 2008 to 2014, and was recently the CEO of Scout24.
“After building Deliveroo into a leading service across Australia, Levi has decided to move on. Everyone at Deliveroo is extremely grateful for his hard work and wishes him well for the future,” a spokesperson for Deliveroo said in a media release.
Deliveroo says it now works with 11,000 restaurants across 13 cities, reaching 11 million Australian through its 8,000 riders. It recently announced partnerships with Australian reusable packaging start-up Returnr and biodegradable packaging company BioPak in a bid to reduce waste.
