Pie Face inks deal with ‘On The Run’ convenience stores

80 OTR stores will be retailing Pie Face products.

Pie Face announced that the brand has signed a two-year deal with Peregrine Corporation to retail a range of their products in roughly 80 of the company’s ‘On The Run’ convenience stores in South Australia.

The brand noted that the agreement does not preclude Pie Face from franchising or operating its core retail stores in Adelaide.

Pie Face also highlighted that a new 3,000sqm HCAPP accredited Central Kitchen Facility located in Rosehill Sydney was recently commissioned, and would be perfect to handle such business.

“The company has been focussed on the supply chain side of business in an effort to increase production efficiencies and allow the business to become a lower cost, premium bakery supplier to our national retail network.

“These types of value add licensing and supply deals should enable the company to reach these goals sooner. We are hopeful of announcing similar types of win/win arrangements during 2014,” said Andrew Lyme, Pie Face Commercial Manager.

A total of nine Pie Face products, which includes meat pies, sausage rolls, and a few newly developed products, will comprise the initial range for On The Run convenience stores.
