Pie Face to debut in the land of Bollywood
The brand inks deal with development partners.
Pie Face has signed an exclusive memorandum of understanding with its Development Partners in India, to fuel the brand’s expansion in the country.
“The Indian market is beginning to develop in terms of QSR food brands expanding through the market. The territory has a very large and growing middle class of over 170 million people, and represents a significant long term growth opportunity for the company,” said Wayne Homschek, CEO of Pie Face.
With a broad experience on food, beverage, and hospitality, Rick Aylett and Ajay Grover will be acting as the brand’s liaison on the ground and will be responsible for appointing Indian Master Franchisees for specific territories across the country.
Both Aylett and Grover believe that the brand and offering will be successful in the Indian market.
“While a large portion including the sweet products would already be ideal, a new range will be tailored to meet the Indian customer’s tastes, with special attention paid to developing an extensive range of vegetarian pies. There are no beef or pork products on the Indian menu,” said Grover.
Grover also believes that the brand will appeal to a wide-range of customers, but most especially with the young adults, which comprise two-thirds of the country’s population.
