Meet Gelatissimo’s new big boss

He’s the brand’s longest serving employee.

Gelatissimo announced that Joint CEOs, Marco and Domenico Lopresti have decided to move on to new ventures, appointing Filipe Barbosa as the brand’s new CEO.

“Our time at Gelatissimo has been the most exciting and fulfilling of our lives, but we think it is the right time for the company to introduce new leadership.

“Marco and I joined the business when it was just a newborn, but our baby has grown and is now standing, confident and strong. Like all good parents, we know when it is time to let go,” said Domenico.

Barbosa has worked with the company for over eleven years. He is the brand’s longest serving employee and is the only one who has been with the company since it was first established.

Gelatissimo owners, John and Stanley Roth, are confident that Barbosa is equipped with the management and leadership skills to guide the company through its Australian and International growth.

Stanley also shared that Barbosa was chosen for the position, as he understands the heritage of the business.

“We want to reassure Gelatissimo employees, franchisees and customers that our commitment to producing the finest artisan gelato is unchanged and it will be business as usual under Filipe’s stewardship.

“We would also like to publicly acknowledge the wonderful contribution Domenico and Marco have made to Gelatissimo and from one set of brothers to another, we wish them all the success and happiness they deserve,” added Stanley.
