The Little Cha eyes 30 stores in two to three years
The bubble tea franchise will start its expansion plan in Melbourne.
The Little Cha announced its plans to triple its franchise network over the next two to three years with 30 stores across Australia, starting with a new site in Melbourne this year.
After opening its first store in 2017, the bubble tea chain now has 10 stores in locations across New South Wales and Western Australia, as well as an international location in Taiwan.
The Little Cha said it is looking for "immediate growth" in the franchising space, through specific locations in Geelong, Newcastle and the Sunshine Coast.
“If you look back to five years ago, bubble tea was a concept very fresh and unknown to Australians, compared to now where the product is a known and loved staple in Australian’s diets. Whilst there is still a focus on the Asian demographic, we know and believe that there is room for growth for the Western demographic also," The Little Cha said in an announcement, adding that around 70% of its customer base originates from a Westernised culture.
"This is a very good indication that we are reaching our goals and target market. We have tailored our flavours and bubble tea varieties to suit everyone, but have especially focused on providing popular and recognisable options to cater for people from a Westernised background.”
The Little Cha is working with DC Strategy for franchise opportunities.
