Domino's opens 900th store
Domino’s CEO Don Meij said the 900th store opening was a significant milestone in the company’s vision of 2,000 stores in the future.
The pizza company has achieved its 900th store milestone with last week’s openings in Success, Western Australia and Arras, France.
In August, Domino’s announced it had lifted its store count outlook for the future following a review of its market penetration.
Meij said, “Our store growth plans for the future will eventually see us with 750 stores across Australia and New Zealand, upgraded from 620. While the European store count projections have increased from 1,000 to 1,250 across France, Belgium and The Netherlands.”
According to Meij, they expect to have opened a total of 60 to 70 new stores across the five countries by the end of the 2012 financial year.
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited is Australia’s only publicly-listed pizza company and is the master franchisor for the Domino’s Pizza brand in Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium and The Netherlands.
Domino’s and its franchisees have 900 stores across five countries, employing more than 21,000 part-time and full-time staff and making more than 60 million pizzas each year.
