Baskin-Robbins launches new store in South Australia
On Thursday 15 December, the dessert chain held the grand opening of its new Malvern store.
The opening drew in a crowd of almost 700 people, as the first five guests won a year’s supply of Baskin-Robbins ice cream. A young Malvern resident also won an Apple iPad mini as part of the festivities.
Baskin-Robbins General Manager Ben Flintoff said there was a lot of excitement leading up to the Grand Opening party and the local Franchise Partner, Alistair Lodsman said he is thrilled to have local prize winners, as well as handing out almost 700 free scoops of ice cream to local residents to celebrate the opening.
“I was overwhelmed with the response from the Malvern community around our store opening, it’s great to be able to share the happiness through Baskin-Robbins’ ice cream,” said Lodsman.
Hon. Mayor Lachlan Clyne attended the Grand Opening Party, and cut the store ribbon with Lodsman.
“It was amazing to see how the Unley community embraced Baskin-Robbins on their opening day,” said Hon. Mayor Lachlan Clyne.
“They clearly have a tasty product that works in well with the surrounding businesses on Unley Road.”
State member for Unley Hon. David Pisoni, members for Unley Park Ward Councillor Rob Sangster and Councillor Michael Rabbitt and member for Fullarton Ward Councillor Peter Hughes also attended in support of the store.
