A chicken concept driven by love of fresh, healthy produce
Love Pollo wants to redefine the way Australia eats roast chicken.
"Love Pollo is a contemporary version of the charcoal chicken shop," Sally Caldwell, General Manager of Love Pollo tells QSR Media.
"We're bringing them out of the 80's through the use of premium free range, chemical free, gluten free, rotisserie roasted chicken."
She added that gone are the days of dingy charcoal-stained diners and fatty fried chicken offers, Love Pollo sets itself apart from the competition through a menu focus on offering premium health, free-range, roam free, chemical free, gluten free chicken, salads, along with gluten free chips, pulled pollo (free range) burgers and wraps all in a contemporary environment that replaces the old stainless steel chairs and white tiles.
According to Caldwell, they aim to provide families with a quick, healthy, value for money take home meal.
A 4-YEAR PLAN
Caldwell noted that Love Pollo is focusing on improving its operating systems and is embarking on an expansion in the next 12 months.
She shared that they have plans to grow from two stores to 20 locations in the first four years. For the meantime, they are currently reviewing four expansion opportunities.
"Every day is a challenge when you run your own business," she said. "Our challenge is to continually refine our business model, looking for 1% improvements and having one eye on the current business, as well as one eye on the future."
Meanwhile, Caldwell noted that the brand will soon be launching Pollo Pot Pies and infused Roast Pollo at the start of July after consumer reaction to their trials has been very successful.
She also added that Love Pollo has joined the Coeliac Society to assist them in adding more Gluten-Free options to their menu.
