How can QSRs offset rising supply chain costs?

Forbidden Foods underscores the transfer of existing pressures from farms to ingredients supply.

QSRs are currently facing the rising cost of farming inputs spurred by droughts, according to food supplier Forbidden Foods co-founder Jarrod Milani.

To offset this, Milani emphasized the need to have a constant flow of menu innovations.

“If you have a static menu and your menu doesn’t change, it’s really hard to maintain those costs and one of the ways you can offset that is by introducing or at least having a pipeline of menu innovation offerings that allows you to continually increase your margin,” he said.
