Mad Mex wins as Runner-Up Emerging Franchisor of the Year

Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill  took home the gong for Runner-Up Emerging Franchisor of the Year at the Franchising Council of Australia’s 2011 Excellence in Franchising Awards.

The award adds to an impressive list of industry and consumer accolades that the Mexican food brand has received over the past year including the I Love Food Awards, Start Up Smart Awards and BRW Fast Starter Awards.

“We were absolutely delighted to be nominated so to have something to sit on the shelf is absolutely thrilling,” says Mad Mex founder Clovis Young. “This recognition from our peers in the franchising community is a wonderful thing for us to share with our own franchisees.”

2011 has proven to be year of rapid growth for Mad Mex having opened three stores since June with a fourth opening in Sydney’s Sydney Central Plaza and several more due by the end of the year. Of the twelve Mad Mex restaurants already open, eight are franchised.
