Latest spill proof coffee lid arrives in Oz

A new lid was developed for Dunkin Donuts (USA) that would help increase their espresso sales through their drive through service.

According to Dart Phoenix Manufacturing services, the new ‘Optima’ lid features a re-closable and spill proof design, which helps eliminate this liability as it is completely sealed when the drink is handed to customers.

Its manufacturers also added that customers will find it easy to securely open and close the lid any time they wish, with its liquid tight seal. The lid offers both convenience and safety as it comes as a complete unit that is designed to grip onto both the inside and outside lip of the cup.

Aside from Dunkin Donuts, a number of other QSR brands, such as Burger King, have started using the new lid in their coffee programs.
