
Pizza Hut continues digital transformation with Apple Pay integration
The year also marks the chain’s 50th anniversary in Australia.
Pizza Hut in Australia announced that it has made Apple Pay available to its customers as part of the brand’s digital transformation journey.
Customers can use Apple Pay on an iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac to make purchases in all Pizza Hut stores, on the website and via the app.
The move builds on the brand’s recent rollout of a digital eCommerce platform with an all-new online User Experience (UX) across the Pizza Hut website and app.
“Celebrating its 50th year, 2020 also marks the year Pizza Hut Australia rapidly transforms its digital technology to modernise the brand, by making it more relevant and accessible. As part of this transformation, Pizza Hut is excited to introduce Apple Pay for its customers, offering an easy, secure and private way to pay,” the chain said in a media release.
Pizza Hut Australia currently operates 285 restaurants.
