KFC to trial new store concept for adult consumers
Set to be launched in Parramatta.
“To better cater for our customers aged 25 plus, we have developed a new store concept which has a menu to reflect the market. This concept store will not be serving our family meals, children's meals nor snacking products," said a KFC spokesperson.
The new concept store will be a location specific store where adult consumers are the predominant customer base.
As part of the new concept, the chain has applied for a liquor license but has emphasized that it has no intentions of introducing beer to existing KFC outlets.
“This new concept will be trialled in only a select number of locations throughout Australia and is not something we will be rolling out in our existing restaurants," the spokesperson added.
“We are set to launch this new KFC dining experience in Parramatta in the next couple of months and pending its success we will look at new locations that have the right demographics."
