Crust Gourmet Pizza launches one-metre Uno Grande pizza
The new pizza follows the brand's successful Guinness World Record attempt for the world’s largest dessert pizza.
The Guinness World Record attempt took place at Retail Food Group’s (RFG) Franchise Expo at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre’s forecourt. Confirmation was received in March that Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar officially took out the renowned Guinness World Record title, prompting the new menu addition.
Crust General Manager Renee North said the team were thrilled with the title and were excited to celebrate with the launch of their new Uno Grande one metre pizza.
“The Uno Grande is a direct reflection of our commitment to innovative pizza solutions and has been inspired by our record breaking dessert pizza,” she said.
Customers can top the Uno Grande with a selection of three flavours from the traditional and gourmet Crust ranges. The one-metre pizza will arrive at the door in a customised metre pizza box and delivery bag. The Uno Grande is set to launch just in time for the 2017 State of Origin series.
“State of Origin night means a huge spike in orders for us, which is why we wanted to create an option that speaks to the food sharing experience and transforms ordinary occasions into extraordinary occasions,” North said.
“Pizza is best enjoyed shared with loved ones, and our Uno Grande is the perfect meal to make any event that little bit more special.”
