TokyoTaco set for hundreds of new stores in Australia
Company aims for double-digit store openings through a five-year plan.
TokyoTaco is set to expand significantly after the success of its first store in Newtown, Sydney. Greg Kentish, Director at TokyoTaco, revealed that the company is planning new locations across Australia, with Queensland being a key target before the end of the year.
“At the moment, we have our first store in Newtown, and it’s going really well,” said Kentish. “We’re looking to open a site in Queensland before the end of the year, and from there, we have quite significant expansion plans with multiple doors opening around the country. We’ve also got international expansion plans as well.”
TokyoTaco’s growth strategy is centered around a five-year plan that aims to achieve double-digit store openings.
Its expansion will include both franchise models and company-owned stores, providing the flexibility to scale the business efficiently across different markets.
“There are always opportunities for brands that provide great product quality and service to customers,” said Kentish. “Our products are a little bit different because of the restaurant’s quality, so it’s definitely a niche product that fits in a very busy marketplace of many brands.”
Kentish is confident that customer demand for TokyoTaco’s fusion cuisine will fuel the company’s growth as it continues to expand its footprint.
