Subway calls for entrepreneurs to take on latest virtual ‘Global Challenge’

It will run through 20 December 2013.

Subway is inviting entrepreneurs to take part in the second round of the virtual Subway Global Challenge.

The Subway Global Challenge is a global online competition that offers a way for aspiring entrepreneurs to learn more about business development and entrepreneurial skills.

It is a business simulation game that will allow players to build, train, operate, and promote their own virtual Subway restaurants.

The Global Challenge is composed of a series of six challenges, which includes building a virtual store, creating Subway Subs, and planning a marketing campaign.

Subway will be selecting three winners who will be flown to Connecticut, USA, to meet with company leaders and will receive guidance and advice on starting a Subway franchise, and on global and franchising topics.

The winners will also be heading out to New York and Washington to get a glimpse of the restaurant operations.

“The Subway Global Challenge is about encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit and celebrating the Subway brand by sharing our iconic startup story, challenges and successes as a business,” added Brian Tap, Chief Executive of Subway® Systems Australia and New Zealand.
