MYO targets coffee market for growth

Signalling the importance and profitability of the coffee trade MYO sandwich bars have launched an in-house promotion they believe will translate to increased external coffee sales.

They recently held a "Barista Challenge" amongst their Baristas, the winner of which, Mel Scheele will sell her own blend of award winning coffee for 6 weeks. John Smith, MD, MYO speaking to QSR Media believes the competition will lift the skill set of his own baristas, introduce competitiveness amongst stores and get MYO co-workers to support the baristas. The competition is having traction amongst its customer base with many of MYO customers asking for the special blend.
