Muffin Break announces 2012 Ultimate Bake-Off Grand Finalists

The search for the fastest, cleanest, and all-round most excellent muffin maker in Australia and New Zealand will culminate in Sydney on 28 and 29 August.

During the Grand Final event, the contenders will bake-off before an expert panel of judges including Woman’s Day Food Director Jennene Plummer and Allied Mills Representative Paul Hammond.

The Technical and Taste judges will assess the finalists on their trade skills, baking knowledge, kitchen-cleanliness as well as their compliance to Muffin Break’s standards of food-safety and product quality.

Each baker will have 15 minutes to bake and proficiently present three traditional muffin flavours: Choc Chip, Blueberry, and Apple Cinnamon.

The winner of the Muffin Break 2012 Ultimate Bake-Off will receive a Kitchenaid Mixmaster valued at $500 and a Visa Gift Card to the value of $1,500. The Ultimate Baker will win the Grand Final prize-pack in addition to the $500 VISA Gift Card and the name-engraved knife-set and apron each finalist has already received as a reward as for making it to the Grand Final Bake-Off.
