Some people apparently weren't happy with it.
According to a report from B&T, McDonald’s promotional TV commercial for their Happy Meal products was banned due to the presence of licensed characters.
The ad depicted Despicable Me 2 characters painting a white wall, and eventually engaging in horseplay.
A complaint was also reported to the Advertising Standards Bureau stating that the ad breached the Responsible Children’s Marketing Initiative by encouraging “fattening and nutrition-poor food.”
