Gloria Jean's Coffees to raise $170,000 for charity Variety
The fundraising culminates in a two-day Cappuccino for a Cause family event on 26-27 October.
Cappuccino for a Cause, an annual fundraising event by Gloria Jean’s Coffees, is seeking to raise $170,000 for Variety - the Children’s Charity this October. Donation boxes in coffee houses nationally will be dedicated to raising funds for Variety throughout the month. A percentage of profits will also be donated through the sale of all specially designed travel cups and shortbread heart cookies.
Meanwhile the Cappuccino for a Cause family event on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October features children’s activities and special guests and celebrities serving cappuccinos, with 50 cents from every cappuccino sold from every Gloria Jean’s coffee house nationally going to Variety – the Children’s Charity.
Celebrity ambassadors who are getting behind the fundraising initiative include TV star Bridie Carter, radio personality Ian ‘Dano’ Rogerson, and pro surfer and model Laura Andon.
Chief Executive Officer of Variety, David Small said, “We’d like to encourage coffee drinkers everywhere to have a cappuccino at Gloria Jean’s Coffees on October 26th or 27th.”
Last year coffee drinkers helped raise more than $150,000 during Cappuccino for a Cause which Variety used to fund three Sunshine Coaches, that allow children to be transported to school and community events, and two Liberty Swings, which are custom-built swing-sets designed for children in wheelchairs.
