The Cheesecake Shop links up with Red Cross for charity venture
It's the brand's first charitable partnership.
The Cheesecake Shop has partnered with Red Cross as a National Community partner and major sponsor of the Big Cake Bake for 2013 and 2014. The Big Cake Bake is a national fund raising campaign that encourages Australians to ‘bake the world a better place.’
“On behalf of our 180 franchisees, we’re thrilled to partner with Red Cross for the Big Cake Bake over the next two years. Our franchisees are passionate business owners and can’t wait to promote Big Cake Bake in their local communities. There is no better cause to support than Red Cross,” said Warwick Konopacki, Managing Director of The Cheesecake Shop.
This will be the brand’s first charitable partnership, where they will be providing assistance to the Red Cross in raising funds to aid the most vulnerable communities across Australia and Asia Pacific. The Cheesecake Shop will be supporting the campaign in store with flyers, posters and other marketing material, and by encouraging their franchisees to promote this in their local communities.
David Armstrong, Head of Fundraising at Australian Red Cross added, “We’re thrilled to have The Cheesecake Shop on board as a major supporter of Big Cake Bake. With 180 bakeries around Australia, our supporters will know that there’s a local Cheesecake Shop there to help make their event a success. Most of all, it’s all for a good cause – helping Red Cross help those in need”.
