
Australian health body probes fat tax with $463,000 study

News.com.au reported that the Australian National Preventive Health Agency (ANPHA) will be conducting a research study to investigate fat tax—a tax or surcharge that will be placed upon fattening or junk food.
A “citizens jury” will be deliberating in Brisbane next weekend on the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed project to fight overweight and obesity in the country.
