Olympian Libby Trickett visits Crust Gourmet Pizza Torrensville
This after the outlet’s Mark Hofmeyer claimed the South Australian prize in the Telstra “Go For Business Gold” competition.
A nationwide search to find outstanding motivators among two million small to medium-sized businesses, the competition featured entrants who had to show how they excelled at motivating staff, themselves, or their customers. Finalists from across Australia gathered for a business master class in Sydney.
As a result of Mr Hofmeyer’s success during the finals campaign, he won a visit to his business from Trickett, one of Australia’s leading swimmers who won her fourth Olympic gold medal at the London Games as part of the successful Australian women’s 4 X 100 relay team.
Mr Hofmeyer used the occasion to bring Student Representative Council members from local high schools together to hear the famous Olympian talk about her personal motivations.
"Our community's young leaders need inspiring figures in their lives and we thought the chance to hear from Libby was a fantastic opportunity that needed to be shared,” said Hofmeyer.
He said the Telstra Business Go For Business Gold was a fantastic way for small businesses like his to get into the Olympic spirit and learn so much along the way.
