Geoff Cockerill leaves Subway ANZ
He served in key leadership positions within the company for nearly four years.
After nearly four years, Subway Australia and New Zealand country director Geoff Cockerill is stepping away from the brand to pursue other opportunities, the sandwich chain confirmed.
“Among his many contributions as Country Director and Regional Director, Geoff has been integral in leading the implementation of our modernisation project. Under his leadership, Australia and New Zealand [were] among the first regions globally to roll-out the Fresh Forward design,” Subway said in a statement sent to QSR Media.
Despite the uncertainty brought about by COVID, Cockerill was credited for being “instrumental” in enhancing Subway’s digital options in the market and improving the guest experience.
“On behalf of our suppliers and partners, and Subway Australia and New Zealand’s team of Business Developers, Franchisees, Store Managers and Sandwich artists, we’d (sic) would like to extend our sincere thanks to Geoff for his many contributions to Subway Australia and New Zealand over his time,” the statement added.
Scott Buckman, who has been with Subway Australia and New Zealand’s senior leadership team for over two years, will serve as acting country director as the chain strives to find a replacement.
“In addition, we have a strong team in place to continue our success and momentum,” the statement said.
