QSR Media: What makes you excited about your position?
Marc Fernandez: The opportunity to assist our Franchise Partner’s achieve their goals and ambitions, and just being part of a team that achieves results.
QSR Media: What 3 goals are you focused on?
Fernandez: My goals are:
- Franchise Partner relationship building
- Developing growth initiatives for stores within my portfolio, focusing on traffic growth through Local Store Marketing (LSM) programmes
- Assist the stores with Project 31 implementation
QSR Media: What long-term changes are you planning on?
Fernandez: Maintaining the momentum of the successful launch of Project 31. Project 31 aims to enhance our guests’ in-store experience through creating those “magic moments” and replicating that experience throughout all of our stores.
QSR Media: What are your key business philosophies?
Fernandez: Train your team and market your business. We are in the people business so we must understand our guests and what service excellence can deliver for our guests.
QSR Media: What previous positions prepared you for this one and how?
Fernandez: I have several years’ experience as a Business Development Manager across various QSR brands. Through these position, I have learnt invaluable lessons and gained tremendous insight into franchising. I have firsthand experience as an independent business owner and operator, which has provided me with the in-depth knowledge of what it takes to run a successful and profitable business.
