QSR Media: What makes you excited about your position?
Andrew Danson: The growth potential of a brand like Rolld is exciting and makes it quite desirable for a lot brands. I get a lot of enjoyment talking to leasing executives and contemporaries about retail trends and retail real estate. It is critical for the brand to spend a lot of time on Geospatial information, and demographic profiling as it is important that we get our roll-out strategy right and stay at the cutting edge of strategy and information.
QSR Media: What are your key business philosophies?
Danson: I believe that you have to pursue opportunities as you are not sure what opportunities will present themselves next. Also in this particularly industry, integrity and honesty are two guiding principles.
QSR Media: What three goals are you focused on?
Danson:
- Getting through the next round of Roll’d store openings successfully.
- Try and work through some further study and personal development over the next 12 months.
- Creating an environment for the group where the real estate decisions become seamless and the methodology and selection criteria are consistent and balanced on all occasions.
QSR Media: What long-term changes are you planning on?
Danson: Create an inclusive reporting mechanism for the real estate function of the Roll’d business. In creating a . Create a market understanding of the Rolld business and what it entails and more importantly what it is about.
QSR Media: What previous positions have prepared you for this one and how?
Danson: I believe all of my previous roles have placed me in a position that have led me to this role. My previous valuation experience has given me an analytical and technical understanding which is applied everyday. To my previous role at Wendys which gave me an understanding of franchising and real estate decision making at the highest level.
