Gelatissimo's vegan flavours now over 20% of total range, CEO says
The chain currently has 43 stores across the country.
In a continued bid to respond to surging demand for healthier options, Gelatissimo said its expanded its existing vegan range with two new flavours.
Its new Choc Cookies & Cream is made up with a vegan chocolate biscuit gelato folded and sprinkled with chocolate biscuit pieces whilst the Strawberries and Cream Tart is made up of layers of vegan strawberries and cream gelato, as well as chunks of real strawberry and caramel tart.
“We’re seeing more and more demand for flavours that cater to a wide range of health and dietary preferences, which was the catalyst for introducing alternative gelato options. With our vegan flavours taking up 22% of the entire range available, we’re proud to have flavours that suit all dietary requirements,” Gelatissimo chief executive Filipe Barbosa said in a media release.
The two new vegan flavours will be available for a limited time only across all 43 Australian stores from 28 August.
Citing popular demand, Gelatissimo also brought back its vegan Caramel Mud Cake flavour to the range.
