Collins Foods’ corporate franchise agreement with KFC Europe commences

The CFA has a target of opening up to 130 net new KFC restaurants over the next 10 years.

ASX-listed Collins Foods announced its corporate franchise agreement (CFA) between wholly owned Dutch subsidiary Collins Foods Netherlands Management B.V. and Yum! Brands subsidiary KFC Europe SARL commenced on 31 December 2021.

The acquisition, first announced last October, will increase Collins Foods’ KFC footprint in the Netherlands to 44 restaurants, or 55% of the market.

The CFA also has a target of up to 130 net new KFC restaurants over the next 10 years.

“We are excited to now have full responsibility to develop, market, operate and support the KFC business in the Netherlands. This opportunity allows us to more fully leverage our scale, experience, and operational capabilities in Europe, and substantially grow the KFC brand in the Netherlands,” Collins Foods’ managing director and CEO Drew O'Malley said in a statement.
