Find out more about the food delivery space from the leading aggregators at the QSR Media Detpak Conference 2018

Deliveroo's country manager Levi Aron says e-commerce and retail will continue to rapidly evolve with the on-demand economy.

Aron is the Australian country manager for Deliveroo, a London based tech startup that provides premium food delivery from local restaurants. In just a few short years, Deliveroo has grown to service 12 countries, over 200 cities (including Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney, Wollongong, Penrith, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth, Adelaide & Canberra), and has raised over A$1.2 billion to date.

For over 18 years, he has dedicated himself to delivering results in senior leadership roles including operations, sales, marketing, and customer engagement across the retail and food industries.

Aron will be amongst the panelists for the aggregators panel in the upcoming QSR Media Detpak Conference and Awards on the 13th of June 2018 at the Sofitel Hotel in Sydney, Australia. Below is a transcript of the interview with him:

QSR Media: What are your key business philosophies?

1. Focus on the customer experience and everything else will follow.

2. We live in a noisy environment where new innovations are coming out each day. Often business have the urge to go after the shiny object, or add many different offerings to their business. Learn to resist this urge and maintain your focus as to why you originally got into business without the distractions, and do what you do best.

QSR Media: What interesting trends have you observed within the industry?

E-commerce and retail will continue to rapidly evolve with the on-demand economy at the forefront of this evolution. Those who adapt their business and keep their finger on on the pulse will do well, versus the others who look a these changes as a fad, or prematurely justify their position by commenting on how global companies entering the Australia don't seem to be getting traction.

QSR Media: What's in Deliveroo's pipeline this 2018?

Deliveroo has experienced phenomenal growth since launching just over 2.5 years ago in Australia, literally changing the way people think about food. 2018 looks to be super exciting as Deliveroo takes the food delivery experience to the next level by continuing to roll out Deliveroo Editions, purpose built delivery only tech enabled kitchens, whilst deepening our relationships with our great restaurant partners.

QSR Media: Can you give us a glimpse of what you will talk about at the QSR Media Conference and Awards 2018?

As I will be speaking on the panel regarding food delivery and new technologies, I plan on discussing Deliveroo's growth, why adoption and frequency has been so high, and what our outlook is for 2018 and how this effects the whole foodservice landscape.
