El Jannah CEO says focusing on individual meals and dayparting is a must for them
Brett Houldin will join the Leader’s Panel at the QSR Media Conference & Awards 2023 powered by Red Bull.
Since opening its first restaurant in Granville in 1998, El Jannah has a way of knowing what consumers currently need and this time it is focusing on individual meals and dayparting as Australians look for more choices and more value when they eat out, El Jannah CEO Brett Houldin told QSR Media.
Brett will be joining the Leader’s Panel at the QSR Media Conference & Awards 2023 powered by Red Bull. Brett has been the CEO of El Jannah since 2020.
In a quick Q&A with QSR Media, Brett shares what trends QSR leaders should watch out for and what he aims to share during the Leader’s Panel.
As a leader in QSR, how have you navigated challenges like changing consumer preferences and new industry trends to your advantage?
Consumers are looking for choice and value. As a brand, we have been adapting to focus on more individual meals and day parting to accommodate. Consumers continue to navigate to digital channels to purchase so we have broadened the ways they can do that with El Jannah.
What are the top trends you have noticed in the past year that QSRs should keep an eye out for?
The enhanced delivery options to have owned platforms with white label solutions are becoming popular and more cost-effective for both customer and operator.
How do you think QSRs should maintain their competitive advantage in a changing environment?
As the economy continues to have challenges around cost of living pressures QSRs are well placed to capture additional occasions. Consumers are more likely to maintain frequency with those operators that have better quality products and seamless ordering processes.
What key takeaways would you like the attendees to gain from your session?
I would like attendees to leave with a good understanding of how to challenge and disrupt to grow share and lead teams to constantly think in this way.
