Herman Brot introduces a "very healthy" bread option
Low in carb, high in protein.
Herman Brot recently introduced their new Low Carb Bread. According to Herman Brot founder Christian Coenen, "there is no other bread like Herman Brot available on the market."
Noting that the bread has the lowest carb (5g per 100g), highest protein (26g per 100g) and lowest Glycemic Index bread (GI-24 as certified SUGiRS/University of Sydney).
The product is claimed to be an alternative for potatoes, pasta or rice.
A German baker by trade and founder of Herman Brot, Coenen created the bread but was also his own guinea pig and he reveals that he is living evidence of the benefits of the bread. "By incorporating the bread into his diet, Christian who was incredibly obese with Type 2 Diabetes, lost 60kg over 9 months and cured his diabetes."
The Low Carb Bread is a combination of good German breads that have been developed over the decades, he noted. The recipe is a secret but the brand reveals that they use a lot of healthy grains such as sunflower seeds, linseeds and soy grits.
"This product would be interesting to anyone who uses bread in their restaurants [or] cafe's because there's nothing else out there like it. It would enable these businesses to offer a brand new low carb, high protein and low GI item on their menu."
