New 23ct gold leaf pizza to be available for takeaway in Sydney Parramatta
Menulog teamed up with Pizza Design Co to offer the pizza.
The Pizza Design Co's ‘Golden Margherita’ – a classic margherita pizza topped with 23ct gold leaf – will be offered exclusively on the Menulog platform on Thursday, 13 October, and it will be available for a limited time exclusively from Menulog. Each Golden Margherita comes with a certificate of authenticity, and retails for $50. They are available for pick up only.
Menulog will offer complimentary Golden Margheritas to the first 100 orders. Pre-orders can be made from 12noon on 13 October, and are available for pick up from 5-9pm on the day. They will then be available for purchase on Pizza Design Co’s menu on Menulog and instore.
Menulog spokesperson Melissa Grech said: “We anticipate local residents will love this pizza – particularly when they can trial it for free, before buying. At $50, we guarantee it will be the country’s most affordable 23ct gold leaf pizza. The Golden Margherita fulfils the evolving tastes of the area, and showcases the creativity of the pizzas at Pizza Design Co.”
Owner and General Manager of Pizza Design Co., Nick Tsotras, said : “Our partnership with Menulog will help us bring the Golden Margherita to many more thousands of people than we would normally be able to. At our restaurant opening last March alone, we had a 200-metre line-up of pizza lovers from Church Street all the way up to Phillip Street to try our complimentary pizzas. The Golden Margherita will be on our Menulog menu for a limited time, and if the demand is high, we’ll keep it on our menu.”
To order the Golden Margherita, customers should head to menulog.com.au/goldenmargherita from 12 noon on the 13 October to make their order. Their pizza should then be ready for pickup at the Pizza Design Company between 5pm-9pm on the same day.
