Donut King unveils new Fruit Mince Donut
Taking inspiration from the traditional Christmas Fruit Mince Pie, the brand launched the Fruit Mince Donut.
Donut King’s Managing Director Nicholas Brill said the new creation is a first for the brand and is a delicious combination of a classic fruit mince pie mixed with a traditional donut.
“We tested different flavour combinations and wanted to bring together the best of both worlds, a festive mince pie and a traditional donut,” he said.
“Compared to a classic fruit mince pie, our product is slightly sweeter and softer in texture and can be served two different ways - either topped with berry flavoured fondant or dusted with sugar.”
Brill said during the product development stage Donut King wanted to ensure the new product didn’t just taste like Christmas, but looked the part too.
“We came up with the unique berry flavoured icing as it complements the dried fruit filling, and also gives the product a Christmas feel with its bright red colouring and gift wrapped bow,” he said.
The new cinnamon spice latte is also available, featuring toasted notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger balanced with hints of vanilla to compliment Donut King’s unique Royal Bean coffee blend.
Donut King has a range of Christmas donuts including Snownut the Snowman, O’ Christmas Tree, Santa’s Little Helper and Candy Cane Crush which is covered in minty crushed candy cane.
