McDonald’s Australia has started its three-month series of promotions, in celebration of its golden anniversary in the country.
The fast food giant, currently with 1,009 restaurants nationwide, is starting with a price cut on its Big Mac to 50 cents across all restaurants from 18 June when ordering from the MyMacca’s app.
McDonald’s teased a new range of “never-before-seen promotions, menu items and unique collaborations” from June until the end of August.
Since opening the doors to its first Australian restaurant in 1971, the chain employs more than 107,000 people and said it serves two million Aussies every day and has sold over 1.1 billion Big Macs.
“We are extremely proud to be celebrating 50 years of providing great tasting food and supporting our customers, people and communities in Australia,” chief executive officer Andrew Gregory said in a media release.
“We are firm believers in the quality and taste of Australian home grown produce and have always been and remain committed to our local suppliers and supporting more than 15,000 Aussie farmers annually.”
