Domino's now accepts PayPal for online orders
Another step to achieve 80% digital sales in the next three years.
Paypal will be Domino’s Pizza Enterprises' (Domino’s) first digital wallet, an effort to offer customers greater choice in payment options.
PayPal’s digital wallet allows customers to pay online using their PayPal log-in and password. The service gives people a method to pay without sharing financial information and with the flexibility to pay using their account balances, bank accounts or credit cards.
Extremely conscious of the trend towards digital wallets becoming the future of payment, Don Meij, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, considers such wallets an essential offering for pizza customers.
“Digital wallets are set to replace cash and traditional credit card transactions in the future so it’s important our customers are offered this payment option when purchasing pizzas online,” he said.
Adding, “we are constantly looking to enhance the Domino’s online ordering experience and the introduction of Domino’s first digital wallet will definitely contribute towards this. PayPal is one of the world’s major digital wallets and online payment processors and our major competitors in Australia do not currently offer this service online."
Simon Banks, Director of Retail Solutions, PayPal Australia commented, “we are pleased to be accepted on the Domino’s site and provide our 5 million customers with another great place to shop. Ordering pizza should be as simple and easy as possible, we’re confident that the PayPal product integration will further enhance Domino’s leading desktop and mobile ordering experience.”
